Jake enjoys being on his feet, so it’s no wonder he has litigated so many divorce and child custody cases to judicial verdict in courtrooms throughout Mississippi and Tennessee. Whether it’s helping a wife of many years get the financial support she desperately needs in the form of alimony, or getting a deserving father custody of his children, Jake considers it his duty to aggressively and attentively represent his clients as they go through one of the most difficult phases of life. He also gets considerable satisfaction out of guiding clients to favorable amicable resolutions.

Jake shares his divorce experience on the firm’s Mississippi Divorce Law Blog.

In addition to divorce and family law, Jake also enjoys an active civil litigation practice that includes nursing home litigation, business partnership disputes, contested estates and breach of contract claims.

Jake is also a former sports writer for several Mississippi daily newspapers and served as an associate editor for Outdoor Life Magazine.

He is a member of First Presbyterian Church of Jackson (P.C.A.) and enjoys marathon running, football of all types (but especially Ole Miss), blogging, and spending time with his family.
