Christopher joined Adams & Edens, P.A., in 2004 and brought with him a background focused on divorce, child custody and general litigation. Since joining the firm, Christopher has continued representing parties in divorce, child custody disputes and other family law matters but has also expanded his practice to include a substantial amount of estate planning, probate, business formation and counseling and commercial lending litigation.

Wanting to expand his expertise in Estate Planning, Christopher pursued an advanced law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law’s Masters of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.) Program, with an emphasis on Estate Planning, and graduated in August 2011.  Planning for the care of children upon death, the disposition of assets and managing the burden of estate taxation is not something to be undertaken lightly and the firm is pleased to have an attorney with expertise in Estate Planning to assist clients with everything from simple wills to complicated estate and trust plans.

Christopher also focuses his practice on representing clients in divorce and other family law matters.  In these emotionally charged matters, Christopher believes that a client’s interests are best served by providing sound legal advice, even if it is not what the client wants to hear.  Often in family law matters, clients are compelled by emotion to take actions that ultimately harm themselves and/or their children so be prepared for Christopher to guide you on the proper course of action and lead you to the most economical and beneficial resolution.  You can read more about Christopher’s thoughts on divorce in the firm’s Divorce Law Blog.

Christopher and his family reside in Brandon and are active members of First Baptist Church Brandon. Christopher is a scout leader for Pack 29 in Brandon and enjoys camping, mountain biking, running and playing the guitar.
